CES Executive Director Follow-up Interview Regarding L.A. City Raising of Parking Ticket Fines
KTLK AM 1150 -The David Cruz Show
Weekdays, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Coalition for Economic Survival Executive Director Larry Gross was interviewed on the KTLK's David Cruz radio show, again, regarding the increase to street sweeping parking ticket fines in the City of Los Angeles for the sixth time in the last seven years.
CES' major concern is with the increase related to street sweeping violations, which we believe would disproportionately affect low income, renter and working-class families in Koreatown, Pico Union, Westlake and other neighborhoods a high density of apartment buildings and too few parking spaces. The fines will be increased to $73, higher than any other surrounding city, and would exceed the day of pay for a minimum wage earner.
