LA City Council Votes to Raise Parking Tickets But Cut the Increase. Further Reductions of the Increases Possibly As Council Agrees With CES on Inequities
CES stands on the verge of victory even thought the LA City Council Budget and Finance Committee voted to increase parking fines. But, the fine hikes were cut from $10 to $5. In addition, LA Councilmember Bill Rosendahl stated further reduction to street sweeping fine hike was likely, agreeing with CES that this fine should not be higher than the penalty for parking near a fire hydrant.
