A U.S. District judge has tossed out a federal lawsuit filed by a developer who said his real estate companies should have been compensated for losses they incurred as a result of emergency tenant protections approved in Los Angeles following the outbreak of COVID-19.
A victory for tenants as the Coalition for Economic Survival, SAJE and ACCE were parties to the case filing a “Friends of the Court” action in support of the LA law and its COVID eviction protections filed on our behalf by Public Counsel, Legal Aid & Neighborhood Legal Service.

The Coalition for Economic Survival (CES) is seeking qualified bi-lingual (English/Spanish) people to organize tenants in at-risk affordable housing. MUST have the ability to communicate and write in English and Spanish at a proficient professional level. (Do Not Apply if you do not have these skills and abilities).
